History of American Machining, Inc. (AMI)

Started in 1979, AMI has 26 years of manufacturing experience in the container, agitator and valve industry.  Along with our manufacturing experience we also have the innovative engineering experience to have become known as the IBC Resource due to our vast knowledge of manufacturing intermediate bulk containers.  Our products have become a standard in the coatings industry for the last 26 years; due to our innovative solutions we have created the best IBC to suit our customer’s needs.

 AMI is known as the intermediate bulk container resource due to our customized solutions for your liquid handling needs, along with our knowledge and ability. One example is our patented agitation system, called “cam seal”, which has become an industry standard. AMI is known as the leader in the industry for being able to develop an intermediate bulk container and any type of agitator required to fulfill your liquid handling and agitating requirements.

AMI manufactures thousands of stainless steel bulk containers and agitating equipment with the highest quality equipment and the most experienced welders in the industry.

 Our IBC’s are UN31A certified.  We have a complete line of spare parts, the largest certified repair facility of intermediate bulk containers, and a cleaning facility to service all of your IBC’s. AMI also provides their customers with all updated DOT regulations and incorporates designs to our products and or repairs of your containers to meet any and all current DOT regulations.

Quality Department

AMI has a dedicated staff in the Quality Department to inspect every part made for all customers.  All quality inspectors are trained and documentation is kept to insure that every part our customers receive is to print specifications and of the highest quality. Click HERE for photos.

Machining Operations

AMI's Machining Department consists of precision CNC machines, lathes, presses, and milling operations for all of your machining needs.  All drawings are prepared at AMI with AutoCAD software and downloaded to CNC equipment to insure accurate translation of dimensions.  AMI's employs trained machining experts each with over 10 years of machining experience.
