THE LAST BUNG YOU
WILL EVER NEED

AN INTEGRAL PART OF
YOUR SAFETY PROGRAM

Part #110885

(A) Safety Vents.
The three patented ports are well
above the threads so that the
tank will begin venting within
a quarter turn.

(B) Durable Threads.
The 2" NPS threads are
machined into a 316 stainless
steel casting. Machining
includes an operation for
removing sharp edges that can
gall and interfere with tightening.

(C) Scored Underside.
The scored surface under the
lip digs into gaskets, preventing
them from spreading and slipping
out from between the sealing
surfaces during tightening. The
benefits is a complete and
uniform seal.

(D) Standard Tightening.
A standard hex lets user users
tighten and loosen the bungs with conventional tooling.

(E) Torque Wrench Adapter.
When consistency is necessary,
this adapter lets users tighten
the bung with a torque or impact
wrench. The adapter fits a
standard female 3/4" socket
and a female hex in the center
of the bung. Available
as an accessory.

(F) Relieve Bottom Thread.
A chamfer along the bottom makes the threads more durable. Damage to the
starting threads, therefore
is unlikely should a user
drop the bung.

(G) Polished Surface.
An electrochemical process polishes all surfaces, including the threads. The resulting shiny exterior is both smooth and passivated, making it easy to clean and resistant to rust and other forms of chemical attack.

(H) Optional Gasket.
In stock for immediate shipping.

Once you try a SAFBUNG, You'll want to keep it for the lifetime of your tank-which you can actually do because it's durable enough to last that long. Unlike a convention bung, this one is made of slightly annealed, cast 316 stainless steel, making it harder and tougher that the throw-away bungs of the past. Moreover, the strategic use of machining and polishing only enhances the material's durability maintainability.

Another reason you'll never want to replace SAFBUNG is that it will become an integral part of your safety program. This engineered bung is both heavy and vented to prevent it from popping like a champagne cork, which could injure workers and damage property. Tests prove that the patented vents begin relieving any dangerous built-up pressure in the tank within a quarter turn.
